Bred in 1839, this is a French introduction. Very disease resistant and shade tolerant with deep crimson coloring.
This China rose from 1904 was bred by Albert Nabonnand in France. It has a glossy dark green foliage to act as a back drop to the crimson blooms. The prolific blooming will be greatly appreciated by any gardener.
A Kordes rose from 1933, very disease resistant. May be grown as a pillar or tall shrub. The flowers bloom in clusters.
Described in the book "Old Roses" by Keays this found variety goes back to the 1840's in America.
